Lily Mihalik Bhandari is the Managing Editor of Design and Data at POLITICO. She leads design strategy and implementation across newsroom tools, daily reporting and special projects, and works with developers, designers, editors and reporters to tell engaging digital stories. Projects like POLITICO's mobile-first live analysis, this database-driven explainer and ⚡- fast 2018 and 2020 election results. Lily leads the newsroom to think visually and craft stories that delight.

Before coming to POLITICO, Lily led digital design efforts at the Los Angeles Times where she worked with others to re-think live coverage, launch their California Cookbook, and ran UX on their new publishing tool SNAP.
